One thing is for sure.If you are in business, you are in sales and if you are in sales, you must promote.Whether you are promoting your product or service, it is important to overcome the fears associated with promoting.I've had many clients who tell me that they were the top sales executive for international companies or that they had previously broken all sales records.It seems hard to imagine that they could be having real problems promoting their small business now.What is the cause for this discrepancy in results? When they were working for the hotel chain or the travel company, they were working for a company.Now, they are working for themselves and it feels very different.It feels different because a job is not an extension of you.Your business is.I have heard many fears expressed to me over the years, some of which I experienced myself both in small business and MLM and these range from, not wanting to appear pushy, not wanting to be seen as opportunistic, caring more about the money, and not wanting to appear dishonest.As well as that, if your business is Multi Level Marketing, then you are in a worse position because the industry generally has had a bad rap, mostly due the ridiculous notion that anyone can do network marketing as well as the lack of quality training.Not everyone can do MLM.Like any small business it requires a certain set of personality traits, which include self confidence and self belief.Without these attributes, self promotion can quickly progress from being a chore to a nightmare.The fears regrading self promotion all boil down to worrying what other people think of you and there are many variations on that theme.The brave souls who keep on 'feeling the fear and doing it,' (these are the 3-5% of people who find success in network marketing) eventually break down the fear and go onto become successful.The other 95% slide into procrastination, then into despair and eventually give up.What if there was another way?EFT is a form of energy psychology which has the ability to change the mindset about anything, often within minutes.I know that seems hard to believe, but it's true.Because it works on the energy system and not the conscious mind, resistance to change is almost non existent.EFT works like acupuncture without the needles.Once we tap on various points on the head and upper body, the mind changes itself.How good is that? No self talk.No pushing yourself.No facing your fears.Earlier this week, a client who found it very difficult to talk about her MLM business to people because of some of the fears we already mentioned learned how to use EFT over the phone in a 30 minute consultation.Here's a little of what she said two days later,'My business was not growing despite my best efforts.I now feel confident to talk to people including friends and family about my business without the negative emotions.'.We cleared a couple of other blocks by tapping on them and that was all in a 30 min phone consultation.Do you think she will progress in her business now? I'd be surprised if she didn't because she now has a tool that she can use to clear any other blocks as they arise.EFT is an amazing business tool.I believe it is the ultimate business tool.Once you learn how to use it yourself, it can be applied to any business (or personal) block easily and effectively).But to call EFT a tool to clear blocks is doing it a disservice.Its uses are only limited by your imagination.If you have a block that is limiting your business success, then it might only be a phone call away from resolution.Don't let the fear of promotion or any other business fear make you squirm.
